IUM Secretary General Ali Muhammad al-Sallabi stressed that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip that came into force on Sunday, signified the victory of resistance thanks to its judicious strategy, Arabi21 reported.
It is clear that the Palestinian people and forces of the country are capable of confronting the occupiers and, despite all challenges, they achieve significant accomplishments, he said.
This ceasefire can be considered a victory for the Palestinian resistance from several perspectives and carries political and moral implications, he stressed.
“This astonishing resilience of the resistance that left the world in awe led many people to become familiar with Palestinians and the religion, civilization, and culture of these people. As a result, many who were previously unaware of Islam became informed about it. God has empowered the oppressed, and we will witness His divine laws concerning oppressors and criminals,” al-Sallabi stated.
The Israeli aggression led to enhanced solidarity with the Palestinian resistance and international sympathy with the people of Palestine, he noted.
He added that the ceasefire demonstrated the capability of the Palestinian resistance in the face of the Israeli war machine despite the clear lack of balance of power.
It proved that the Israeli regime has failed to achieve its proclaimed goals both in military and political spheres, he went on to say.

“The resistance has demonstrated its ability to impose new equations in confrontations, including responding to aggressions and possessing tools that can inflict real harm on the occupiers, proving that the Gaza Strip is neither weak nor isolated. The resistance has managed to amplify the voice of the Palestinian people through media and social networks, helping to expose the extent of the aggressions and suffering, and prompting some countries to reconsider their positions and directly protest against the Zionist regime,” he said.
The ceasefire is proof that the resistance is capable of defending the rights of Palestinians and stand against threats, serving as a source of inspiration for other oppressed people in the world, the IUMS secretary general stated.
